My very lucky children were recently sent early Easter presents from Playmobil, Playmobil Easter eggs. They always seem to receive lots of chocolate at Easter and these are a great alternative and a little longer lasting too! Inside the plastic shell is a Playmobil figure and the shell can be re-used as a money box. A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to attend the Hobbycraft Spring Press Show at Homemade London. I got to meet Kirstie Allsopp (again) who was launching her new range of craft kits for Hobbycraft and watched lots of fun crafty demonstrations. Following the theme of hand print fun, last week we got messy with the paints to create some Easter cards. Hand print animals are really easy to do and require few materials. We added a good dollop of yellow paint onto the paint tray and the toddler sponged it onto one hand before carefully pressing his hand down on to a sheet of paper. I’ve been talking to the toddler about Easter. The house is full of chocolate eggs already and we’re beginning to receive cards so I thought it would be fun to do some Easter crafts together. Our first project was to make simple fabric bunnies. I let the toddler pick the fabrics from my stash, cut out a simple bunny shape from the fabric and sewed the two sides together (with the fabric facing together) before turning the right way and stuffing.
