Regular readers will know that every month I challenge myself to make the Mollie Makes magazine cover gift. With thoughts turning to back to school (not really but I felt I had to say it!) the last Makerly subscription box felt like excellent timing. I love a subscription box and have recently subscribed to Makerly to encourage my creativity. I’ve been pretty bad at making time to craft which is silly, as it always makes me feel so much better! I ordered the latest Makerly craft subscription box and waited for it to arrive. It came in a slightly chubby box with everything for one make. This months make was a stamped pencil case kit containing a blank pencil…

2018 is my year of trying new crafts. I’m still making time for my favourite crafts of paper cutting and sewing but I like the challenge of trying new ones too. So far this year I’ve made my own candles and tried making my own cards. Making String Art for the home For Christmas my husband gave me a String Art Kit. I’m not sure this is something I would have ever bought myself but I’m always happy to try something new. The String Art Kit contained a wooden base board, nails, paper templates and 4 embroidery threads. I picked…

Earlier this year we threw a Minecraft themed party for my son. He just adores Minecraft, as do his friends, so this seemed like a great way to celebrate him turning another year older. He enjoyed helping me plan his Minecraft birthday party. Thankfully we found lots of ideas we could adapt on Pinterest. 5 Minecraft treats for your Minecraft party bag It’s not a party without some kind of party bag and I had great fun putting together Minecraft party bags for our guests. Inside each bag I placed a bottle of Creeper Juice and a piece of Minecraft…

At the start of this year I had huge plans to tidy up my craft stash. My 2018 Craft Goals included sorting out my craft books, fabric stash and pile of WIP’s which were out of control and needed reining in. We’re almost half way through the year so it seems like a good time to write a little update here on my blog. My 2018 Craft Goals {6 month update} I have stitched a few of my WIPs, not as many as I wanted to, but still. At least I have been sewing more. I finished the sashiko stitching…

I am so terrible at making time for my hobbies. Sewing and paper cutting are two of my favourite things to do, yet I rarely make time for them. I subscribe to the Craftpod subscription box and the Spring box arrived months ago. It included two hand stitching projects which were lovely but it’s taken me weeks to get round to actually making them. We did a lot of travelling over half term so I made sure to pack my Craftpod box. Everything fits nicely in a slim box which makes it perfect for carrying around in a handbag. The…
