I have two water babies and am always on the lookout for toys they can play with in the bath. They still love bath time just as much as they did when they were babies. It’s also a great way to unwind after a busy day or weekend. This weekend we’ve been visiting my mum and I took something special for the children to play with. Have you heard of Bloopies? They are the ultimate underwater friends! The dolls squirt water out of their mouth and snorkel when you press their tummy, and they will blow bubbles too! Bloopies underwater friends…

I’ve mentioned a few times about our lovely new kitchen. It’s dragged on a little but we’ve had a final push this weekend, painted the ceiling and walls and tiled the floor. We’ve managed to squeeze in about 90% of everything and it’s lovely. It’s easy to get used to loose cupboard doors and cluttered surfaces but I’m really enjoying my new kitchen. The only thing I had to compromise on was the kitchen sink. I really wanted a Belfast sink but my husband wanted a wooden worktop and for some reason it couldn’t be cut around the sink. At…

My children love bath time and were pretty happy to receive the latest products from Munchkin which revolve round bathtime. Munchkin have lots of great gift ideas for the festive season to make bath time more fun. My children particularly loved the following: Sea Sparkle Bath Gems (£5.99) the three small gems float and rattle and fit inside the pretty seashell case when not in use. The sea shell case also floats for added bath time fun and the set aids shape and colour recognition. 3 pack Pour and Strain Whales (£2.99) are great for scooping up water. The Undersea…

Both my children have had eczema. Fortunately they’ve grown out of as they’ve got older, except for poor Little Sis who has small patches of it behind her knees. I was recommended Soothing Baby Balm by Green People which really helped the itching and dry skin. So when they got in touch about reviewing their certified organic toiletries range for children I was very happy to try other products. Green People review We were sent Baby Wash & Shampoo as well as a new Shampoo, both were tried out by the children at bath time. The toddler chose the Berry…

I often find bath times can be quite stressful with two children. Lately I’ve been putting the baby in her bath in the big bath with the toddler. This way they both have a bath and seem to enjoy each others’ company. The baby loves kicking her feet and splashing and the toddler loves playing with water. It sounds like it should be fun but it’s not for me. I seem to constantly tell the toddler to sit down, be careful, don’t splash and other boring parenting phrases. To bring back some fun we’ve been trying some new baby bath…

Edward has suffered from dry skin since birth so we were really excited to try out the new products from E45 which cater for sensitive skin. The range consists of E45 Junior Foaming Bath Milk, E45 Junior Moisturising Lotion and E45 Junior Hand and Body Wash. We’ve been using the products for the last couple of weeks and have really enjoyed them. Fortunately Edward loves bathtime and his bathroom is full of various products we’ve used to try and ease his dry skin. Many baby products contain SLS which really irritates his skin so we were excited to learn that…

Hello all! I’m Betty B and I’m delighted to be doing this guest post on this fantastic blog, The Gingerbread House. When I opted in to the Britmums blog swap/guest post, I thought it would be easy. I’ve been blogging since the start of this year and never seemed to suffer from writer’s block…until now! That’s just great, I offer up myself like a sacrificial lamb to another blogger’s readers and now I can’t even think of anything decent to tell them! Fortunately, I have an active 19 month old daughter who is willing to spice up my daily life,…

Tippitoes has introduced an exciting addition to its bathroom range, the natural Seaborne Baby Sponge which is 100% natural and extracted from the sea bed. Thanks to its natural porous properties, it’s perfect for gently exfoliating and cleansing baby’s skin. We were sent a Seaborne Baby Sponge to try and I was surprised to find that it came in a plastic tub – I’ve never bought a sponge in a container before! I rinsed the sponge before use as instructed and we used it at bath time this evening. Edward wasn’t too sure what to make of the sponge as…

We’ve now been using our lovely beginning….bath products at every bath time for the last week. Edward is taking his responsibilities as a Maclaren Kid Tester very seriously and we’ve been looking at each product, having a chew on the packaging and smelling each bottle before use. Bath time is usually quite simple as we generally only use E45 bath oil but we’ve been pleasantly surprised how easy it’s been to incorporate the Maclaren range of products during and after Edward’s bath time. Edward loves the bath products, they make his skin very soft and help him relax. We usually…
