Beaker Creatures Reactor Pod review and giveaway

With the Easter holidays in full swing we have been having so much fun with playdates and trips to London. The weather has been pretty terrible so I was delighted to introduce my children to the new Beaker Creatures, an exciting new range of science-themed collectibles, from Learning Resources. They have recently landed, and come to Earth in search of science adventures.

Beaker Creatures Reactor Pod

After travelling through space in their Reactor Pods from their tiny distant planets, Beaker Creatures uniquely combine the thrill of collecting with hands-on science experiments, building skills and sparking curiosity! By dissolving the Reactor Pods, children can discover, classify, and explore 35 collectible characters from five different families.

Each Reactor Pod comes in a cardboard box and contains a coloured Beaker Creature Reactor Pod, a Classification Card and a mini-poster featuring amazing science facts and fun images.

We set up the table with a bowl of water on a tea towel and got a pair of washing up gloves and tongs. Then the children took it in turns to drop the Beaker Creature Reactor Pod into the water.

There was an amazing reaction with lots of fizz and bubbles!

The children used the tongs to find the plastic capsule inside the Reactor Pod. Inside each Reactor Pod was one of dozens of unique and adorable characters including Astrolytes, Frostonians, Oceanites, Buglettes and Minisaurs. Kids can then take on the role of scientist, identifying their creatures with classification cards, and exploring their worlds through fun science facts and amazing experiments.

Sadly we didn’t get one of the rare 24-carat creatures but my children loved the unboxing element and the bubbles! These are a fun STEM toy and I love that it combines the element of science with unboxing which both my children love. They make a great pocket money toy to collect and encourage learning and would make a fun alternative to Easter eggs this Easter too!

Beakers Creatures are suitable for children aged 5-9 and available from www.learningresources.co.uk  The range includes Beaker Creatures Reactor Pod, Beaker Creatures 2-Pack with Bio-Home, Beaker Creatures Magnification Chamber and Beaker Creatures Liquid Reactor Super Lab, priced £4-£25.00.
