Is it too early to be thinking about Back to School? Although we haven’t planned our end of term teachers’ gift we’ve already had a sneak preview of what the cool kids will be taking to school with them in September.
As a bit of a stationery addict I was excited to spend Thursday morning at Paperchase’s flagship store on Tottenham Court Road. They were previewing their new Autumn/Winter 2015 collection in a vintage school arrangement with wooden desks and a roller design chalk board that took me right back to my own school days.
I love some of the trends for Autumn and I know that my children will too. It’s a colourful collection and there is something for everyone.
Shopping for school supplies was pretty dull when I went to school but today there is lots of choice and I’m going to tell you about two fun trends – unicorns and fast food.
Unicorns are pretty mythical creatures which I find as appealing as my daughter. The range includes stationery sets, coloured pencils, pencil cases and a variety of notebooks.
There are bags and lunch ware too, all really bright and colourful. I love the fact that if you embrace a trend you can purchase matching products.
There’s something for the boys with fast food-themed stationary, bags and lunch ware, inspired by Moschino’s recent fast food collection.
I’m not sure how well the fast food collection would go down with my son’s healthy school but the design definitely stands out!
Stationery should be fun and affordable and I think Paperchase represents these two things. I hope you liked my little preview of some of their new products and find something that you your children will love.
