My husband is such an Alpha Male. He took us all out for the day yesterday and spent today boarding the loft! He’s really lovely and does so much for us all, I’m sure we never tell him how much we all love him.
Our ninth wedding anniversary is coming up this week but we’ve been together for a whopping 14 years and known each other for 16. We were driving around our old London stomping ground yesterday and it was quite strange remembering the places we used to go on date night, our favourite Italian restaurant and our first flat. It really felt like a lifetime ago now we live in the suburbs with our two children.

I’ve said it before but I really miss our old house and part of London. My favourite place was Ally Pally and I’ve never found anywhere as dramatic or beautiful at this time of year. I had high hopes for going for an autumnal walk this weekend but we just ran out of time. Instead I did a little online shopping for my husband. He loves to look good and has a much nicer wardrobe than I do.
My husband walks to the station every day and pretty much never checks the weather forecast. After a lifetime of this you would think I would be used to it, but as someone who lives by the weather forecast, it still really annoys me. Which is why I picked a gorgeous parka coat from Jacamo for him.

He loves to go out after work with his mates and now we’re definitely in Autumn he needs something to keep him warm. He just wants to be stylish but with this he can be practical and stylish too.
Autumn is my favourite season and I think everyone looks good in boots, chunky knits and a cosy parka. My children have been kicking the leaves on the way home from school so I’m really hoping we can all get out for a walk in the woods soon. Blue skies, crunchy leaves underfoot and a pub lunch would be my perfect weekend – what about you?
