You know we’re huge fans of Miffy and we love to make sun catchers so today we’re sharing our really easy Miffy sun catcher craft. Everyone knows that Miffy loves to wear a pretty dress, like the ones in Miffy’s birthday book. Reading it totally inspired us to make Miffy a new colourful wardrobe. Equipment needed to make Miffy sun catchers: Printed image of Miffy (we found ours here) Coloured cellophane sheets Sticky tape Scissors Bakers twine How to make Miffy sun catchers I printed 6 pictures of Miffy and carefully cut out her dress. Have you been bitten by Royal baby fever yet? I’m sure it hasn’t escaped your notice that the Duchess of Cambridge is due to give birth any day. In preparation, Philips Avent took ‘Charles’ and ‘Camilla’ out around London to ensure they had everything for the Royal Baby. They went shopping in Mothercare and Hamleys, as well as stopping by the Lindo Wing to ensure everything was in order. These photos really made me smile. Philips Avent have made their products in the UK since 1984, celebrating their 30th Anniversary last year. Avent founder, Edward Atkin, launched…

Earlier this year I attended a Hand Stamped Jewellery workshop at the London Jewellery School. The workshop was a gift from my husband who knew I wanted to try something new. The London Jewellery School is over in Whitechapel so I basically hopped on the tube and read my Kindle until I reached the other end of the line. The Hand Stamped Jewellery workshop was a beginners class and a great introduction to working with silver. Class numbers were kept really small and everyone was really friendly. We all had the chance to make a piece completely from scratch using…

Do you ever watch your children colouring in and wish you could join them? If you’re following me on Instagram you’ll probably know you can! Phoenix Yard Books have produced a brand new range of colouring books for grown-ups including The One and Only colouring book for adults and The One and Only colouring book for grown up children. We were sent a couple to try and they are so much fun to keep nearby. I especially like The One and Only colouring book for travelling adults which has a handy slipcase and is spiral bound which makes it easy…

My favourite post of the week time – my Monday happy things! We had a quiet weekend as the children were poorly but that meant we had time to make them a mud kitchen! I can’t decide whether to paint it or not but it just needs a few more items to finish it off. I sent and received a mini quilt as part of a swap. Making mini quilts is one of my favourite things and it was fun to make something for someone else (rather than my daughter) for a change. As part of my swap package I…

Yesterday I received the most amazing mini quilt in the post. Late last year I signed up for a mini quilt swap and today I can write a mini quilt swap reveal post. I love sewing and patchwork and thought it would be a fun challenge to make something for someone else. The only requirement was that the quilt had to be a minimum of 15 inches on both sides, and maximum of 24 inches. We were paired up and sent links to inspiration boards to gather ideas. I chose a gorgeous patchwork heart which I loved making. There were…

You can tell my son has gone back to school after the Easter holidays as my daughter and I have been spending a lot of time crafting together. Yesterday afternoon we looked through our recycling to see what we could use to make a fairy garden. I’ve seen some amazing fairy garden ideas on Pinterest (check out my outdoor play board for some ideas) but let’s be honest, I don’t think many of them are made by or for children! Today we’ve made a really simple fairy garden, child-friendly, achievable and I’d love to know if it inspires you! Equipment…
