Half term fun with Peppa Pig

This year we were very excited to be invited to be a Peppa Pig Holiday blogger (I love adding those shiny badges to my blog). I can honestly say that both my children like Peppa Pig, but my 3 year old loves Peppa!  but At the start of half term we were sent a lovely parcel of Peppa Pig goodies to help us get through the week 🙂 Today we opened the Air Peppa Holiday Jet and Holiday figurine packs. My 3 year old has been lusting after this in our local toy shop so was overjoyed to receive it.…

    Monday happy things

Hello and welcome to my special Bank Holiday edition of Monday happy things! We’re having a special Day Out today and have packed our picnic. Have you tasted Tracker bars lately? We were sent a rucksack full to fuel our Bank Holiday adventures and I haven’t been able to stop eating them. There are three flavours but my favourite has to be the White Chocolate Chip ones. We’ve added a few to our lunch bags. We’ve been having fun with these gorgeous ABC and 123 flash cards from QED Publishing. Little Sis is starting nursery in September and these have been…

Hot Wheels Super Speed Blastway review

My 5 year old has quite simple tastes in toys, if it has wheels he’s generally happy. He especially loves Hot Wheels cars, and so do I, as they are pocket money-friendly. He was sent the new Hot Wheels Super Speed Blastway and a Hot Wheels tshirt from the new Zara Hot Wheels collection to review. He’s only 5 but quite tall so received a size 7-8 shirt which fits him perfectly. The tshirt features a fun shiny text print and is lovely and soft. As well as the lovely new tshirt he also received the Hot Wheels Super Speed…

    Crafting with coloured sand

One thing I love about crafting with my children is the chance to try new craft activities with them. They are always keen to try anything and were pretty excited about a parcel of coloured sand products we received from Baker Ross. We received 6 bottles of Fluorescent Coloured Sand, plastic animal sand art bottles and sand picture sheets. First we made the Animal Sand Art bottles. The pack contained 6 different animals, each had a screw top, as well as a funnel. The children used the bottles of sand to create colourful layers. You can either pour or sprinkle…

My 3 year old loves to dress up as her favourite princess so was pretty happy to be sent the new Frozen Colour Changing Necklace to review. They haven’t been taken off since she opened them. The Frozen Colour Changing Necklace is now available in a two pack priced at £5.00 from Toys R Us, Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury’s. Painted pebble cactus plants

I’ve been having lots of fun crafting recently, I know I always say that but this is supposed to be a craft blog. I love looking through my photo stream and seeing the photos of all my makes. My children have been keeping me busy lately but I still found time to make some painted pebble cactus plants with them. I would love to keep some succulents but when I went to buy some I got a handful of needles. Instead I thought it would be fun to make some kid-friendly versions. My 5 year old helped me paint some…

Top tips for creating a Summer fairy garden

What is a fairy garden? It’s a miniature garden for fairies to live in. My 3 year loves Tinkerbell and after we had watched Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue we were inspired to make our own together. Since then we’ve made a couple, both temporary houses indoor and a few permanent fairy houses outside. Creating a fairy garden is a great activity that all the family can do together and is a great way to spend time enjoying the sunshine. The best thing is that they can be added to over time so why not start a fairy garden…

    Sylvanian Families fun

I’ve had lots of luck charity shopping recently as my daughter and I found some boxed Sylvanian Families sets. We snapped them up and she’s been playing with them ever since. We found Madeline’s Boutique and Highfields Barn but her favourite is Madeline’s Boutique as she loves to shop and pink is her favourite colour! Today she was allowed to pick a new families set to come and live with us as a reward for mastering potty training. She chose the Sheep Family which has been top of her list for a while. She was sent a cute little Day…

    Scrabble tile badges

Did you know it’s Scrabble Week? This May over 6,500 new playable Scrabble words join the Collins Official Scrabble Wordlist. To celebrate the biggest update in 4 years, Collins are hosting Scrabble Week which runs from May 21-28 2015. I love playing Scrabble and crafting with my vintage Scrabble tiles. I felt I should make something special to mark Scrabble Week so I made some fun Scrabble tile badges. My two favourite things (after my family of course) is sewing and drinking tea so I made simple badges using my Scrabble tile stash. I used: Vintage Scrabble tiles 2mm cork…
