    Playmobil Emergency Medical Helicopter review

As Playmobil Playologists we were excited to receive some toys from the PLAYMOBIL Hospital range to review. Playmobil is a top manufacturer within preschool toys and my children get hours of enjoyment from their Playmobil collection. My children like the City Life range. You may remember last year we reviewed the Sunshine Playschool which is part of the range. Needless to say our new additions go really well with this toy. Playmobil City Life – Emergency Medical Helicopter (6686) My son loves playing with vehicles and was happy to see the Children’s Hospital Emergency Medical Helicopter. He insisted on building…

    Bonfire Night craft for kids

Every year we try and take the children to a Bonfire Night celebration. Bonfire Night is an important event in British history and I want my children to understand the meaning behind events such as this. I always think that crafting and making reinforces the things we are talking about at home which is why we crafted our own paper bonfire! We used: Cardboard tubes Brown tissue paper Bostik White Glu Paper plate + black paint Orange and yellow tissue paper How to make a Bonfire Night craft with kids First we painted a paper plate with black paint. This…

    Pom pom pumpkins and more

Now that my children are both at school full time I have found crafting is the perfect way for them to wind down after school. I love sitting at the table and talking with them about their day. I find they seem to remember more when their hands are occupied and it’s so much more interesting than the usual “can’t remember” or “don’t know!”. It’s feeling much more autumnal this week and I’ve started to hang a few Halloween decorations around the house. We love to celebrate the seasons so were very happy to receive a box of Halloween craft…

6 ways to use Duck Tape Chalkboard tape

My husband and I have been fighting over the latest Duck Tape. We both love Duck Tape and he often ‘borrows’ mine when he needs it for a DIY project around the house. When he saw the latest Duck Tape Chalkboard tape, from leading stationery brand Duck Tape, he immediately wanted it for himself! I’ve been trying to use it for my own purposes before it disappears into his man-cave, never to be seen again. Luckily it has so many uses that I don’t think there will be much left. The Chalkboard tape can help turn almost any hard surface…

Monday Happy List – Week 107

Happy Monday everyone. The weekend whizzed by for us and we’re all beginning to feel the need for half term to hurry up and arrive. Time for my weekly Monday Happy List. I got my hair cut! I hate getting my hair cut so this was a big thing for me. As a parent it can be hard to make time for yourself, but with both children now at school there’s no excuse. I even treated myself to lunch out! With the days colder and so much shorter we seem to be packing in a lot more playing, baking and…

    Disney Princess Ariel Styling Head

A few weeks ago we reviewed the Poppy Styling Station which means my 4 year old has been ‘experimenting’ with hair styles. She’s a bit of a tomboy so I was hoping she would enjoy the Disney Princess Ariel Styling Head from Just Play. My kids love bath time. Any excuse to play in or with water is their perfect activity. They also love any toys which they can take in the bath and extend their time in it. Disney Princess Ariel Styling Head Every little girl knows Ariel from Disney’s The Little Mermaid film. Based on the Danish fairy…

    Easy Halloween Spider Pizza

It is pretty easy to please my children. They love Halloween, although my 4 year old won’t stop singing Christmas carols! So I thought it would be fun to give them a Halloween-themed dinner and they had fun helping me make Halloween Spider Pizza. This is so simple to make and is perfect for a Halloween themed feast. You will need: Garlic Pizza Bread Jar of Tomato Pasta Sauce Jar of black pitted olives Freshly grated cheese How to make Easy Halloween Spider Pizza I wanted to make this as easy and fun as possible so I used ready-made ingredients.…

Furby Connect and the Furby Connect World app

I first laid eyes on the Furby Connect back at the Argos Christmas in July event earlier in the summer. I knew it would be appealing to my children so was delighted to be offered one to review. Furbys have been around for a while. They are already instantly recognisable to my children as a small version were included with McDonalds Happy Meals a while back and they will be appearing again soon. Just in case you don’t know, a Furby is a cute little robotic creature you can interact with. Furby Connect from Hasbro is the most recent reincarnation…
