It’s been a while since we reviewed any Hot Wheels sets but today we have a brilliant one to share with you. Both my children have always loved toy cars. They are always close to hand in the living room and I love the different ways my children play with them. We have a few Hot Wheels tracks. They come up with all sorts of genius tracks to make play really fun and spark imagination. Today we’re going to tell you about the Hot Wheels Track Builder Stunt Bridge Kit from Mattel. Today we were invited along to KidZania at Westfield London to experience their Snazaroo Halloween event. My kids adore KidZania so we were delighted to go along. KidZania is an indoor city run by kids, giving kids the opportunity to try out over 60 activities for themselves. We went along this morning and managed to keep it a surprise until we were outside. The kids were so excited when they realised where they were going! We handed over our boarding passes for 4 hours of fun! Over half term kids have the chance to transform into their favourite Halloween character and…

I had a really silly idea a few weeks ago and it took me a long time to get round to making it. Half term has been busy and so much fun, but I’ve missed my crafting time with the kids being off school. My 5 year old adores Miffy (so do I). We have a Miffy biscuit cutter and I thought we could bake and decorate Miffy Sugar Skull gingerbread biscuits for Halloween! Miffy Sugar Skull gingerbread biscuits First I made my usual gingerbread recipe which you can find here. Then we cut out lots of Miffy shapes. When…

“I wrote to the zoo to send me a pet. So they sent me an ….” Thus begins our favourite book! It’s a children’s picture book classic and a very respectable 35 years old. It seems a very long time ago since I took a very young Big Brother and Little Sis off to Macmillan Children’s Book for a lovely Dear Zoo party and to meet Rod Campbell. We love any book by Rod Campbell and have a much-loved copy of Dear Zoo which has been signed by him. As well as our classic copy of Dear Zoo we also…

Today my daughter spent some of her pocket money on a new Sylvanian Families toy to add to her collection. She loves the cute little babies and and bought the Sylvanian Families Double Pushchair. She’s definitely going through a huge SF phase at the moment. I couldn’t be happier because it’s an adorable range for her to enjoy. Over two years ago I wrote a round up on my top 10 Sylvanian Families crafts. In the past two years we’ve made some really good crafts so I thought it was time to update this post, or add a new one. So today I’m…

My 5 year old has recently become a fan of PJ Masks. I ignored this for a while but since she started quizzing me on their names and catchphrases, I sat and watched an episode with her and feel that I now know more than I need to about PJ Masks. When Connor, Amaya and Greg put on their pyjamas and activate their animal amulets, they turn into their alter egos – Catboy, Owlette and Gekko – before embarking on adventures filled with action. Along the way, they solve mysteries and learn valuable lessons too. My daughter loves Gekko and…

Are you keeping your kids occupied over half term? The weather hasn’t been too bad considering the time of year and we’ve been able to get out and about. It’s lovely to come home and snuggle up with a film and we whipped up some easy Halloween bark to enjoy whilst watching the new PJ Masks DVD. It’s so easy to make and you can adapt it to any season (we’ve already made delicious chocolate Easter bark!). Easy Halloween bark recipe 1 x bar of white chocolate 2 x bars of milk chocolate Halloween sprinkles Halloween sweets How to make Halloween…

Earlier this year we all enjoyed a screening of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul. We all absolutely loved it! In Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul, The Heffley family road trip to Meemaw’s 90th birthday celebration takes a wild detour thanks to Greg’s newest scheme to attend a video gaming convention. Based on one of the best-selling book series of all time, this crazy, cross-country adventure turns into an experience The Heffleys will never forget. Don’t miss your chance to keep the kids entertained this October half-term as Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The…

Good morning everyone! I hope you had a lovely weekend and have a good week ahead of you. This week I am writing my weekly post from my temporary desk away from home. I’ve been looking forward to half term for awhile. Last week was only a 4 day week thanks to an Inset Day for both of my children. We still had a packed week with Beavers, choir practice and karate lessons. We also squeezed in two Parents Evenings. I’m pleased to say both my kids received glowing reports from their teachers, I love to hear how they are…
