You may think that as a crafty person I’m not really into gadgets but I am! As a connected mum I can’t leave the house without my smart phone and I love trying out the latest must-have gadget. Therefore I was delighted to receive the Asus Reco Classic Car Cam to try out. It arrived yesterday and I practically had to fight my husband to be the first to open it and check it out.
Reco Classic Car Cam from Asus
I’ve never had a car cam before but I like the idea of them. I only passed my driving test after my children were born, despite having lessons at various points in my life. I enjoy driving so I’ll be trying it out in my little Fiat as well as the Audi my husband won’t let me drive, don’t worry he’ll be driving whilst I observe! We have a couple of long journeys coming up so I’m looking forward to trying it on a variety of roads during the day and night. My children are excited too.
Some of the special features include:
- HDR for clear video recording
- full HD 1080p resolution
- advanced driver aids
- wide 140° viewing angles
The box contained the car camcorder, car charger, GPS mount holder, warranty card, quick start guide and self-adhesive cable clips.
We’ve both read the guide and I’m pretty confident about installing it and using it. The car cam allows you to capture full HD footage of your drive, and includes collision safety features, speed camera alerts and lane departure warnings at high speed. Let me know if there’s anything you’re interested to know about as I will be posting a full review in the next couple of weeks.
The Asus Reco Classic Car Cam costs £99.99 and is available from Amazon and other retailers.
