A while ago I attended a Nappucino to learn more about real nappies. The Borough I live in give vouchers towards the cost of real nappies to encourage people to give them a go. To be honest I have struggled with real nappies but I try to use them whenever I can, especially when we are staying close to home. We were sent two bumGenius V4 from baby kind to try.
The bumGenius v4 is a stay-dry, one-size pocket nappy.
The good points:
built in waterproof outer cover and inner lining
hook and loop or poppers to fasten
level of absorbency can be customised
stretchy lycra wings to ensure a comfy fit
adjustable size to fit babies from 8-35lb
can be washed at 40°C
The bad points:
none!
I enjoyed using these on Edward as they were so simple. They fitted really well and didn’t make his clothes too tight round the bum. You need to wash them before you use them for the first time but they wash and dry well. I was sent 2 to try but usually change Edward between 4-5 times a day. They recommend you purchase at least 18 nappies so you can do a just nappies wash every couple of days.
The bumGenius compare really well to other brands and I would recommend them. The version 4 mean they keep on improving!
