A couple of weeks ago I went for any eye test at my local Specsavers store in Ruislip. I hadn’t had an eye test since my working days so I was pretty keen to see what shape my eyes were in.
The eye test was really thorough and I was surprised at how many different things I had to look at or read. During the tests I felt uncertain about which colours were stronger or which letters were more in focus and convinced myself I was going to need the strongest glasses! However to my surprise my eyes were surprisingly good and I didn’t need glasses which I should be pleased about, although a tiny part of me really wants some!
I wear my sunglasses all year round, mainly to keep my hair from my face, and this is something my children have picked up on. They are both obsessed with glasses and have several pairs. The toddler favours silly glasses as some of his favourites include an oversize pink pair and festive Christmas trees.
Little Sis loves to copy her older brother and has amassed her own collection of sunglasses. For some reason she often wears them upside down or on her head, just like mummy.
I suppose there are worse things they could be obsessed over!
Disclosure – I received a free eye test voucher in return for writing this post
