A rainy autumnal afternoon

Posted on October 27, 2013 by jenny

I’m so glad we went out this morning as it’s been raining on and off all afternoon. Fortunately we were sent an updated version of Scooby-Doo and the crew to watch. I have very fond memories of watching the cartoon adventures of Scooby-Doo with my sister so I was intrigued to hear of an original film with a brand new puppet format. Zoinks!

Scooby-Doo! Adventures The Mystery MapScooby-Doo! Adventures The Mystery Map DVD sees new-look Scooby and the gang embark on a mad, pizza-fuelled dash to find pirate Gnarlybeard’s hidden treasure. Confronting more than a few chilling obstacles along the way, watch as the slobbering-sleuth and his band of crime-busting puppet pals sniff out the clues, only to have the map stolen by the frightening Phantom Parrot. Ruh-roh! The gang must track down the mysterious bird to recover the map if they ever want to reach the spooky ship. But, once on-board, what will Gnarlybeard be willing to do to protect his booty?

Scooby-Doo, where are you?! The new format DVD, Scooby-Doo! Adventures: ‘The Mystery Map’, is available from 21st October 2013. It includes bonus cartoons: The Backstage Rage and Robopup.

At 43 minutes it was the perfect length to sit and watch on a rainy afternoon. My toddler enjoyed the puppet version although I found it took a bit of getting used to to, good jobs it’s aimed at children, not adults! The plot was fun and easy to follow and I can imagine we’ll be watching it again soon.

Whilst we watched the film my children enjoyed snacking on some MU Sticks which make the perfect little treat for lunchboxes or snack time. Individually wrapped in packs of eight, they are a perfect snack for everyone in the family. There are seven products in the MU cheese family, offering something for every occasion, and I am happy to tell you they are great in cheese straws and cheesy mash too!

My daughter loves Scooby Doo, and you’re right, 43 minutes is just the right length, too. Thanks for sharing it.
