Starting my week with The Weekly Edit is a ritual I’ve kept for years. It’s my favourite Monday morning anchor—a chance to slow down, celebrate the ‘small wins,’ and gather the smiles from the week behind us. Part reflection and part record-keeping, it’s my way of documenting our family’s adventures before the next chapter begins.

The Weekly Edit {Week 32/2026}

The youngest teen and I took ourselves off to London to go and watch The Devil Wears Prada Musical at the Dominion theatre. The songs were written by Elton John and the musical was so much fun!

It was also time for our family holiday. We drove from London to Holyhead in Wales to catch the ferry to Dublin. We stopped off  in Holywell to visit the Shrine of St Winefride’s Well, a Grade 1 listed building in the Late Perpendicular style and unique in the world. The pool is open for bathing three times a day, but we were happy to just admire the clear water. We also stopped to walk over the beautiful Menai Suspension Bridge over the Menai Strait, which connects the island of Anglesey to the Welsh mainland. I had a delicious Welsh Cake flavoured ice cream.

We had a busy few days exploring Dublin with the teens. some of our highlights included the Dublin Portal, the Jellycats shop inside Brown Thomas on Grafton Street, afternoon tea at Bewley’s on Grafton Street and dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe.

One of my favourite experiences was a visit to the social history museum at Henrietta Street. It’s a great way to learn about the history of Dublin told through one building and the tour guide kept the kids engaged throughout the tour.
