Monday Happy List

Five Happy Things {Week 532}

Andover Catfe

Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for the last few years. It’s my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of the adventures we have as a family. Hope you all had an amazing time over Christmas.

Five Happy Things {Week 532}

My year in books, I read 34 books out of my target of 35 books which I’m really pleased with. I’m so close to reaching my target this year! I’ve read some really good books and started listening to audio books too, I think I will be listening to more audio books in 2025.

My husband and son went to The Formula 1 Exhibition at ExCel London. They both love Formula 1 and this was a great opportunity to get close to some of the cars and memorabilia from the last few years.

We enjoyed a quiet Christmas and Boxing Day with my mum. We went for a traditional roast turkey with potatoes roasted in goose fat which all tasted amazing. We’re quite restrained opening Christmas presents and enjoyed opening them throughout the day. I received a puzzle and some more Persephone books to add to my collection.

We’ve spent the last few days catching up with friends and managed to squeeze in a visit to both Windsor and the Andover Catfe. As much as we love our dog we also quite like cats and it was fun to spend an hour playing with the wide variety of cats they have there.

metallic foil decorations with SewYeah

I made a few more metallic foil decorations last week. I signed up to an online workshop with Christine from Sew Yeah which was fun. I usually make up my own patterns but I enjoyed following her templates to make a sun and moon. I also started stitching the sweet gingerbread house pin cushion which was Pretty Fabrics & Trims 2024 Christmas charity pattern.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year!
