Monday Happy List

Five Happy Things {Week 504}

Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for the last few years. It’s my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of the adventures we have as a family.

Five Happy Things {Week 504}

Charles Court Opera performed The Sorcerer at Wilton’s Music Hall, this was the one of the few Gilbert and Sullivan operas I had never seen so I was excited to go and watch it. As you would expect, the plot was topsy turvy and the music sublime. I could get used to taking the afternoon off for some light entertainment.

I went shopping with my son and couldn’t resist picking up another Animal Crossing Lego set for my little collection. I’ve played Animal Crossing Pocket Camp for years and love the Lego cross over. I bought Isabelle’s House Visit and it came with two characters, Isabelle and Fauna. I would love to see an Animal Crossing minifigure series, especially if you could buy a male or female character.

A few weeks ago we bought an Ooni Karu pizza oven as we had wanted one for a while. We’ve had pizza every Saturday for the last few weeks and seem to have finally perfected the perfect pizza. They are so quick and easy to make and we’ve even made a sweet nutella pizza!

My son won his first trophy at an RC competition over the weekend. He’s been building and racing RC cars for years, he’s even doing this for his Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award. He was really excited to win a trophy for coming third in his race over the weekend.

Have you even made a Biscoff cake? We made one over the weekend and it was amazing. You probably want to gloss over the fact it contained two jars of Biscoff spread and a pack of Biscoff biscuits. Best enjoyed after a really long dog walk in the sunshine.

Have a great week!

  2. Thank you Jenny for sharing your happy things, they’re amazing and very inspiring. My happy thing was working on the backyard, it was awesome….

  3. I have heard a lot about the Ooni Karu oven. I would love to try one! Sounds like you have been keeping busy. I haven’t had Biscoff biscuits in ages — I’ll have to have some soon!
