Five Happy Things {Week 469}

Posted on October 8, 2023October 8, 2023 by jenny

Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. This is my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.

Five Happy Things {Week 469}

Yesterday I visited the Knitting and Stitching Show at Ally Pally. This takes place every year but I haven’t been for the last few years. It was fun to go back and although I didn’t work any workshops I enjoyed looking round all the stands. There were some lovely textile displays and I really loved the Domestic Dusters exhibition.

We went pumpkin picking at The Pop up Farm which we try to visit every year. As well as pumpkin picking there was a huge hay bale for the kids to climb all over and use up their energy. We filled our wheelbarrow with pumpkins of all shapes and sizes so we can decorate our house.

We finished Season 3 of Only Murders in the Building. I really liked this season and watching one episode a week felt better than binge watching. Roll on Season 4!

I always turn to my family history in Autumn and I’ve spent a lot of time filling in some gaps in my research. I’ve discovered some interesting facts about my Welsh family and written a few posts about our trip to south Wales last year – I can’t believe it has take n me a year to write them!

Have a great week.

    Those pumpkins are wonderful. I love all the different textures. I know the kids had a wonderful time at the farm.
