Sunday Happy Things {Week 442}

Posted on April 2, 2023 by jenny

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while although now I’m moved it to Sunday. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write.

Sunday Happy Things {Week 442}

Last week I shared the mini books snow globe I made to track the books I read this year. I signed up to the 2023 Goodreads Reading Challenge and I thought this would be a fun way to visually track the books I’ve read.

I’ve been busy stitching the Happiness mini quilt from Pretty Fabrics and Trims. This is the last of the mini quilts I had in my stash and am trying really hard to make the kits I have.

We had a busy week with another Parents Evening and my son’s music concert at his secondary school. Both the kids finished the term and are looking forward to their Easter break.

I enjoyed reading Good Evening, Mrs Craven by Mollie Panter-Downes so much that I ordered another book by her, Minnie’s Room. It’s another book of short stories but these are set in the post-Second World War period.

We started watching The Night Agent on Netflix which is really good. We binge watched a few episodes over the weekend. We also finally got round to watching Avatar: The Way of Water which we all enjoyed.

    I have been so tempted to do the mini book globe, but I read a lot so I feel like it would take so much time haha. I enjoyed Avatar too but I still can’t get over how long it is x

    I am so happy that we have reached the Easter holidays now. It means we can all slow down that little bit more. I hope to make time for reading and catching up with some movies too.

    The mini book globe sounds like a fantastic way to keep track of books read! I just may try it. And I keep putting off seeing Avatar. Guess I have to make time for that too! Enjoy the rest of your week!

    I so love reading but cannot commit to a schedule as you are but I envy that. Goodreads is one of my favorite platforms and I used to be able to read a huge book in a day… years ago LOL. Love this and I enjoyed this post and congrats on your sons concert too! Love it!

    I feel like they load up the end of terms with so many school things to go and do! It’s nice to get to see our children at the end of the school term doing so many activities. 🙂
