How have I never made Red Nose Day gingerbread biscuits before? We love to make gingerbread in all different shapes and sizes but someone we’ve just never made Red Nose Day gingerbread biscuits. This is a simple way to help celebrate Red Nose Day – and would make an easy fundraiser for a school event (or after school treat!).
Red Nose Day gingerbread biscuits
You can use your favourite gingerbread recipe to make the biscuits. I actually used a gingerbread house kit which was left over from Christmas. First of all I made the gingerbread dough and found some red M&Ms.
I rolled out the dough and cut a many gingerbread people as I could.
I baked the gingerbread people according to the instructions on the packet, then left them to cool on a wire rack.
I opted for the simplest decoration I could find – adding a dab of icing and a red M&M for the nose. I could easily have added more icing for faces and buttons, but it’s up to you how you decorate.
I left the icing to harden slightly before the kids gobbled them up. These make a fun treat to celebrate Red Nose Day.
