Monday Happy List {Week 328}

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List  is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.

Monday Happy List {Week 328}

January is such a long month and we’ve been trying our hardest to keep busy and positive. We’ve filled our hours with making and creating. We baked gingerbread cookies and mincemeat tarts (We have so many jars of mincemeat left!). The kids created more hama bead creations. I signed up to the Wild Olive hearts day stitching club and finished an epp Liberty heart.

Last week I bought a bunch of daffodils which I really loved to see. They are so bright and colourful. We also spotted clusters of snowdrops on our daily walks. Last summer we pressed some flowers which we re-discovered and made into bookmarks.

afternoon tea from Patisserie Brione

We are struggling with things to do at the weekend so booked an afternoon tea from Patisserie Brione in Eastcote. It’s been a long time since we went out for afternoon tea and enjoying one at home seemed like the next best thing. We bought afternoon tea for 2 adults and 2 children

Over the weekend we went for a walk at Bentley Priory Nature Reserve. Bentley Priory was used as an operation centre during the Battle of Britain and now houses a museum but the grounds are open all year round. There are plenty of paths through the woods and we had a very muddy walk.

On Sunday we finally had snow! The kids were so excited to see it and we took the dog out for a walk as it was the first time he’d seen snow too. It snowed all morning so there was plenty of snow to build a snowman and have a snowball fight. We loved the fact it snowed on a weekend so we could all enjoy it, hopefully it will last a few more days before it melts away.

Have a great week!
