Last weekend we took a trip to The Pop Up Farms’ Pumpkin Patch. I had been looking forward to visiting this pumpkin patch just outside London for weeks. Unfortunately our original trip was cancelled due to bad weather but we managed to re-book for the following weekend. We visited The Pop Up Farm last year and were really excited to visit again. I wanted to pick a selection of pumpkins and take some lovely photos of my children.

A trip to The Pop Up Farms’ Pumpkin Patch

Due to current restrictions we had to pre-book our tickets and pay a small fee which we were happy to do. Our tickets gave us an hour time slot to arrive in, but we were allowed to stay as long as we wanted when we got there. Sadly no dogs are allowed at The Pop Up Farm so our pop had to stay in the car whilst we visited the pumpkin patch.

When we arrived we were shown where to park in the car park, then we followed the signs to the pumpkin patch. New for 2020 was a huuuuuuge barn. We collected a wheelbarrow and set off to the bale maze where the children could run around.

Then it was on to the pumpkin patch. There were paths through the pumpkins and it was easy to distance from other people. The kids loved exploring all the different types of pumpkin and squash. There were so many different types and we all enjoyed hunting for our favourites.

We had soon piled our wheelbarrow high with pumpkins (and kids). There were several crates full of pumpkins if you were looking for a specific size.

There were photo opportunities too. We loved this colourful pumpkin display.

When we had filled our wheelbarrow we got them priced up.  The prices seemed similar to last year but if you didn’t want your pumpkins you could hand them over and pay for the ones you wanted.

We paid for our pumpkins (card only) and were given a free sack to put them in. Then we handed our wheelbarrow back so it could be sanitised for the next people.
