I love to start the week by writing the Monday Happy List. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s usually a post I love to write but obviously life has changed considerably for us and everyone else in the UK over the last few months. With lockdown easing in the UK our life hasn’t changed much at all. The weeks are looooong but we do manage to squeeze in a lot of living, even if it is in our very small bubble.
Monday Happy List {Week 298}
My son went back to school for a couple of hours last week. He was in a very small bubble with a different teacher but was so happy to be back at school. He really needed to go back to school and it’s been really good for him. I wish my daughter had been invited back to school but that’s not going to happen until at least September.
I completed my sew a little happiness every day sampler and the sewing projects in the Spring Craftpod box. I ordered some gorgeous Liberty fabrics last week as I wanted to make a small EPP project, I’m excited to start a new project.
My children love to craft too and we had a lot of fun with Aquabeads last week. We also had fun with recycling thanks to a Re.Cycle.Me kit we were sent to review. Home learning isn’t going so well and crafting has been something a lot more positive that we can do together.
We’ve had plenty of fun catching up on DIY projects during lockdown and we’ve finally made a start on a new fitted wardrobe for our bedroom. When we first moved in 6 years ago we bought a temporary wardrobe from Ikea. We wanted to knock out a fitted cupboard and put in a larger wardrobe with sliding doors. We did a lot of work on it last week, recycling the old wardrobe via Facebook and putting in the new sliding doors. Just the internal fittings to decide on now.
Yesterday we visited our local Pick Your Own farm and picked strawberries, cherries, gooseberries and broad beans. We bought carrots and beetroot from the farm shop too. Everything smelled so good and tasted wonderful. It’s a real treat being able to pick your own food!

June 30, 2020 at 4:42 pmMy Daughter used to love crafts when he was little, we rarely had any recycling as she was always going through it to make her latest creation.

July 3, 2020 at 7:08 pmI was really looking forward to the kids going back to school in September with the small classroom bubbles but now they have been increased feeling increasingly worried.
