I love to start the week by writing the Monday Happy List. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing.
Monday Happy List {Week 266}
I have been making a lot of things over the last week. Perhaps it’s the time of year or perhaps I just have my crafting mojo back. I had quite a few things I wanted to make using my Cricut Maker and they are all coming together and getting finished off. Last week I posted about the mindful advent countdown I put together and over the weekend I finished a birthday countdown for my daughter, a fun Christmas countdown and a snow globe.
I don’t work on Monday so I will be using my Cricut EasyPress Mini to finish off the advent bags for my children’s Advent calendars today. I love to fill our house with homemade things and we have plenty of new decorations for this Christmas.
On Saturday we went to Ruislip Farmers Market which I love. Who doesn’t love to support local businesses? It’s always fun to look round all the stalls, but I managed to pick up a few Christmas gifts and we treated ourselves to lunch too.
My daughter’s birthday is in a couple of weeks so yesterday we went to Rush in High Wycombe with some of her friends for an early birthday treat. She had been looking forward to it for weeks and had a great time. She absolutely loves Pokemon at the moment and we enjoyed Poke Ball cupcakes too.
On Saturday my daughter lost her second tooth! Her baby teeth are falling out so slowly compared to some of her friends and they seem to wobble for ages (part of me thinks we should just pull them out!). I spent Saturday evening putting together a Tooth Fairy receipt for her so I’ll add it to my blog in case other parents find it helpful. She was happy to wake up to the Tooth Fairy receipt and some money, which she quickly spent of course!

November 18, 2019 at 7:30 pmThis is the first year I’ve made my own home decorations for christmas, I think it really makes it that much more special when it’s homemade! I have to get myself one of these cricut makers too! It’s nice to see people shopping locally at this time of year, markets at christmas are the best way to get in the holiday spirit! have a lovely week 🙂

November 19, 2019 at 1:09 pmIt sounds like you have had a pretty busy week but the early birthday treat sounds like SO much fun! My little girl has not long turned 5 and lost not one but two teeth within the space of 24 hours last weekend but thankfully none of the others seem wobbly yet as these were wobbly for ages before they fell out too!

November 20, 2019 at 5:38 pmI think my daughter isn’t brave enough to pull hers so they stay in her mouth a lot longer than they should!
