Did you know a whopping 255,000 Cadbury Easter Eggs are made at the Bournville factory every day? That’s 10,625 Cadbury Easter Eggs made per hour… and 177 per minute! I’m sure that’s something my children would love to see as they just can’t get enough Easter eggs at this time of year. In fact it’s safe to say that Easter is their second favourite holiday after Christmas. I love Easter too and a few days ago I gave them an Easter crate full of crafts and activities to keep them busy over the Easter holidays.
How to hold an Easter Egg Hunt at home
One of my favourite Easter traditions is an Easter egg hunt. We usually have Easter at my mum’s so she organises the Easter egg hunt. This year I thought we would hold one at home and make use of the amazing weather we’ve been experiencing.
Now an Easter egg hunt doesn’t have to be too much hard work. In fact, I found everything I needed on Cadbury’s website – the Easter Egg Hunt at Home pack lets you download everything you need to organise a hunt, with clues and props. There are even 3 levels of clues which makes it perfect for any age. Choose from Easy Peasy, Tricky-ish and Tough to Crack. I used the Easy Peasy for my 5 year old and the Tricky-ish for my 7 year old. Oh yes, they didn’t want to work together and share so they each had their own hunt!
Holding an Easter Egg hunt is really simple so after I had printed everything out and cut out the bits I needed, I went and hid the clues around the garden. I gave the children their bunny ears and off they went.
It was so funny watching them follow the signs and bunny feet I had placed around the garden. They really enjoyed themselves, especially the Cadbury treats which they were rewarded with when they solved the clues!
Cadbury have done some research that has shown that children want to do more exciting things around Easter, however parents lack inspiration for things to do. According to Cadbury a whopping two thirds of families would like to be provided with more inspirational ideas for things to do during the Easter holidays with their family. A quarter of British families say taking part in Easter Egg Hunts is their favourite thing about the Easter holidays! I hope I’ve shown you that it really doesn’t take much effort to set up an Easter egg hunt and it’s really fun and rewarding. Over 83 million Easter Eggs are sold in the UK over the Easter season, with the Cadbury Creme Egg 138g Easter Egg being the most popular variant. There’s plenty of chocolate treats to stock up on and who wouldn’t want to find a Creme Egg hidden around their garden!
