With Valentine’s Day coming up soon I have been experimenting with snacks to make for the children. I love making something special for them when they get home from school and came up with these fun heart-shaped Valentine brownies. I cheated by using a cake mix to save time but you could use a favourite brownie recipe if you have one.
I used:
Betty Crocker’s Chocolate Brownie mix
Heart shaped cookie cutter
Cake pop sticks
Red icing
Sprinkles
How to make heart-shaped Valentine brownies
I whipped up the brownie mix, adding chocolate star-shaped sprinkles to the mixture.
I left it to cool slightly before cutting out my heart shapes using a heart-shaped cookie cutter. It is slightly easier to cut if the cake is warm. I managed to cut six brownie hearts.
I pushed the cake pop stick into the bottom of each heart and covered them with red icing and more heart shaped sprinkles.
They made a lovely bite-sized Valentine treat and were so simple to make.

These look totally delicious and very creative. Good idea to use a mix to save time. And I’d forgotten that Valentine’s Day is just a few weeks away! Thanks for the reminder! Tx
These are just ACE!
That’s suh a good idea, i love that these are on stick! How cool, i may steal it an do do it! 🙂
A fun way to get the kids involved with Valentine’s Day
I know it is not Valentines Day anymore but I still want these heart shaped brownies. I bet they would be super tasty! xx
