Win a copy of the 2016 edition of The BFG

A new 2016 edition of The BFG has recently been published by Puffin Books. With a new foreword by Lucy Dahl and exclusive fun activities inside, including: Draw Your Dream, BFG Draw-along with Quentin Blake, BFG Quiz and much more! The cover ties in with the film and this is sure to be a classic copy for my children’s generation. For those not familiar with the story:

On a dark, silvery moonlit night, Sophie is snatched from her bed by a giant.

Luckily it is the Big Friendly Giant, the BFG, who only eats snozzcumbers and glugs frobscottle.

But there are other giants in Giant Country: fifty foot brutes who gallop far and wide every night to find human beans to eat.

Sophie decides she must stop them once and for all. And the BFG is going to help her!

The film is released this Friday the 22th July. If you haven’t seen the fabulous trailer you can take a look here:

The trailer looks amazing and we can’t wait to go and see it this weekend. We’ve recently read the book together and I’m looking forward to seeing what the other giants in Giant Country look like. My 6 year old wants to see what a dream looks like when it is trapped inside a bottle.

We received a copy of the new 2016 edition which my 6 year has enjoyed reading with me. He loves all the extras, especially the BFG Draw-along with Quentin Blake. I think it’s a lovely idea to include some ideas so children can continue to explore the story after they’ve finished reading the book.

On 13th September we’ll be joining in the celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the birth of the world’s No. 1 storyteller. This will be the biggest ever worldwide celebration of Roald Dahl Day, and to help you join in you can download a fantabulous free party pack with all sorts of jumpsquiffling things to get your party started.
