With Valentine’s Day fast approaching I thought it was time that Little Sis and I practised our baking skills. We made a batch of delicious gingerbread heart biscuits using our favourite gingerbread recipe.

We iced them with a simple red fondant. Then I thought it might be fun to stamp some letters on the top to make personalised biscuits, so got my letter stamps out.

Obviously my 4 year old can’t spell so I helped her. The only problem was that she kept coming up with naughty words, not the kind of words I wanted to stamp!

Here are our nice biscuits with polite words. I do think they would make a fun handmade gift to give on Valentine’s Day. I made a couple with normal words, such as ‘I love you’ and kisses. My favourite is ‘Don’t tell’ as my daughter loves a secret. She always says ‘ssssssh, don’t tell!’ when we have a secret together (which isn’t very often, as she can’t keep them!).

These are her cheeky biscuits. I suppose they aren’t too bad as 4 and 5 years old’s don’t really have a great vocabulary of swear words, do they?!

My children love to call each other Stinky Poo Poo Bum Bum. Now, those words don’t fit on a little heart-shaped biscuit but we tried our best. Obviously the 4 year old thought this was the most fun and the 5 year old did too when he got home from school.

These cheeky Valentine’s Day biscuits went down really well so I can imagine we’ll be making these again very soon.

Too cute! Xx
