I don’t know about you but we’re a family who loves to celebrate Easter. It’s always been a big event in our year, with Easter eggs and presents, an Easter Egg Hunt in the garden, and a delicious meal with family. This year was always going to be completely different as we were unable to visit family, but we still wanted it to be eggstra-special.
Our Easter traditions
We still kept many of the traditions which make Easter a special holiday. We baked delicious Easter biscuits, I managed to buy everyone some chocolate Easter eggs and a few little presents. My husband picked up a delicious joint of beef so we could enjoy a big roast dinner and we kept in touch with family and friends via Skype.
How to hold an Easter Egg Hunt at home
It just wouldn’t be Easter without an Easter Egg Hunt in the garden. This is something my mum usually organises for the children, but this year I was in charge! We’ve been on a few Easter trails at National Trust properties so I knew the kind of things my children like.
I’ve already shared the handmade Easter Egg sign I made to place in the garden. As well as this I made 9 cute little egg-shaped markers to place around the garden. My Cricut has been working over time this Easter!
Easter Egg Hunt Bingo
The idea was that the children could run off some of their energy in the garden, looking for the painted Easter Eggs. There was an activity on the back of each Easter Egg for them to do, and next to each marker was a plastic egg filled with a mini bag of Haribo treats. I made a bingo sheet which matched the activities on each egg so we could mark them off as they went.
Our garden isn’t huge but there were enough hiding places that it took them some time to find all of the eggs.
The kids loved looking for the eggs and then doing the activities. They ran on the spot, did star jumps and sang Baby Shark at the top of their voices! Hopefully all the activity helped burn off some of their energy. Next to each marker was a plastic egg filled with treats as a little reward for them.
Easter treats from Haribo
I filled the plastic eggs from the Haribo Eggs Galore!, a newly hatched edition of 30 pre-portioned packs of themed and delicious multicoloured Easter Egg shaped jelly and foam pieces, alongside every bunny’s favourite Fried Egg. These bags are the perfect portion for a little treat.
As well as the Haribo Eggs Galore! we received the Chick ‘n’ Mix and Bunny ‘n’ Friends gift boxes. We loved the packaging on these, super cute Easter characters with lovely treats inside. There was also a bag of Springtime Friends containing adorable sheep, bunny and chick shapes which are great for keeping us happy and positive during Spring.
I hope you all enjoyed the Easter weekend. It was lovely to plan something fun to keep the kids occupied, and they’ve been making little Easter Egg Hunts for each other all weekend!

Awww what fun! I’m glad you managed an egg hunt despite the restrictions. I’ve never seen these haribo Easter sweets before either.
I love Haribo and this is such a great Easter Egg hunt kit, my kids used to love their egg hunts, although my daughter thought I had gone mad when I suggested doing once this year

What a great selection of Easter sweets! We used some of the mini packs in our Easter hunt too, they were perfect to go outside or in spaces where chocolate eggs might have got too warm or crushed!! It sounds like you had a great time with your hunt and love the Bingo idea!
I used to love having Easter egg hunts when I was a kid and my parents did great ones, I remember being so upset when they said I was too old to still have them x

How wonderful that you all managed to get a lovely Easter Egg Hunt with Haribo sweets done during Easter! To be honest we did not, as we only had 1 large Easter egg each for our kids.
Those Haribo sweets look amazing! We did an Easter egg hunt but in the house (Jack’s recently had an allergic reaction to something and we think its something in the garden) and the kids loved it.
An eggcellent idea, im not a huge fan of chocolate and prefer sweets so i prefer these, its a great range and a fun way to have some fun in these times.
We had a Haribo delivery too! My boys think the sweets are very tasty and were thrilled to take part in a hunt round the garden! I really like your handmade sign.

These were perfect for Easter. Growing up my parents always got plastic eggs and filled hem with treats, these would have been really well received back then.
This looks like so much fun, my only problem would have been trying not to eat all the Haribo before the egg hunt.
