We love to hear all about the latest collectable and were excited to receive some of the new Lock Star collectables from Hasbro. We love the sound of these as they are perfect for accessorising belongings from school bags to lunch bags, which my two love to do.
Lock Stars, the newest collectable for kids
Kids can express their individual style with Lock Stars Series 1 collectable lock accessories. Each Lock Star features a character with a key that unlocks a hidden surprise inside. The Lock Stars comes with two charms, two keys, one Lock Star figure, a surprise mini lock and a Collector’s Guide. There are 48 different characters to collect in Series 1.
My 6 year old loved the look of the Lock Stars and couldn’t wait to open them up. You can see which Lock Star character you are going to get but the identity of the mini lock is hidden so she loved the surprise element. The characters are super cute and range from animals to food, monsters, unicorns and even a cactus! You don’t receive the mini version of your main Lock Star character but this makes for a really fun toy to collect and swap with friends.
Most pocket money collectables includes a Collector’s guide. This is a great way to tick off what character you have got but also encourages you to see what other characters you could buy.
We love the cute characters. Unfortunately they don’t seem to have names but Little Sis unboxed a unicorn and a monster as her main characters, and a mini monster and a carrot as the surprise mini Lock Stars. You can open the mini locks by pressing with your finger nail and there is enough space to store a little accessory or tiny note. The main Lock Star character is opened with two keys – one opens the lock element so you can fix it on a bag, the other key opens its tummy where a tiny accessory is stored. Even the keys are cute and colourful with little creature heads!
Each Lock Star is priced at £5 which includes two charms, two keys, one Lock Star figure, a surprise mini lock and a Collector’s Guide. There are 48 different characters to collect (24 Lock Stars and 24 mini lock characters). They are not recommended for under 4s due to the very small parts. My daughter couldn’t wait to accessorise her school book bag to take back to school next week and show all her friends.
