Mrs Mactivity’s World Cup 2018 Wall Planner
My children loved their Royal Wedding colouring activity sheets so I was delighted to find some fun resources for the World Cup which starts this week. The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be the 21st FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial international football tournament contested by the men’s national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It takes place between 14th June – 15th July 2018 and the host nation is Russia.
The World Cup was the theme of our Beaver Scouts meeting last night. It was surprising how much some of the kids already knew about Russia but we all had fun trying to pronounce some Russian words. The Russian Scout motto is Будь готов (Bud’ Gotov), which means Be Prepared in Russian. We coloured in some Russian nesting dolls and played a crazy game of Free the Prisoners which is played by Scouts in Russia.
I downloaded Mrs Mactivity’s World Cup 2018 Wall Planner for us to use at home. You can print the 4 x A4 sheets at home, and stick them together to make a wall chart. The children have been colouring it in and learning about the different countries which are taking part in the World Cup, along with their flags.
It includes every match and although we won’t be watching them all I like the fact we can fill in the World Cup 2018 Wall Planner as we go along and fill in the match information as it happens. We’ve mounted the planner on a huge sheet of mountboard and can’t wait for the first match this week.
There are lots of other World Cup activities on Mrs Mactivity so make sure you pop on over and take a look.
