Daisy’s Vintage Cornish Camper Van {book review}

Daisy’s Vintage Cornish Camper Van

Are you enjoying the Bank Holiday weekend? We’ve escaped London for a few days in the country and I was really happy to have a new book to take with me to read. I love to read but have to admit that my brain is usually a little frazzled after a day with the kids to read anything too heavy. Last year I really enjoyed The Summer of Serendipity by Ali McNamara and was delighted to receive her new book to read, Daisy’s Vintage Cornish Camper Van.

Daisy’s Vintage Cornish Camper Van by Ali McNamara

Welcome to the gorgeous Cornish coastal town of St Felix – where a little bit of magical sparkle will bring a camper van back to life and ignite a romance.

When Ana inherits a broken-down camper van from her best friend, she takes the chance for a quick trip to Cornwall – some sea air and fish and chips on the beach is just the tonic she needs.

But St Felix has bigger plans for Ana. She discovers a series of unsent postcards, dating back to the 1950s, hidden in the upholstery of the van. Ana knows that it’s a sign: she’ll make sure that the messages reach the person that they were meant for. And as the broken-down van is restored to gleaming health, so Ana begins to find her way back to happiness.

I have to admit I really enjoyed this book. The setting was perfect and I really got into it and couldn’t put it down! I loved the intrigue between Daisy and Noah and Daisy and Malachi, trying to figure out if she was suited to either one more than the other. I also loved the story of the hidden postcards and finding out what happened between Lou and Frankie. Everything comes together nicely at the end, as you would expect, with a few twists and turns.

The book was a light-hearted, easy read, perfect for packing in your bag for a weekend away. I would totally recommend it if you’re looking for a good book to read this Summer.

Daisy’s Vintage Cornish Camper Van by Ali McNamara is published by Little Brown Book Group on the 14th June, the paperback is priced at £7.99.

    I loved the book, I had to get it before I read the Craft Shop, as it is set in the same town . I had already read the Flower Shop. So easy to read and have a feel good quality.
