Putting together an Easter crate for kids

How do you celebrate Easter? We get together with family, enjoy delicious long lunches and eat chocolate eggs. This year our family are coming to us and I’ve been planning some family friendly Easter days out in the local area to help everyone walk off those big lunches.

I love to put together an Easter crate for my children. I usually bring it out at the start of the Easter holidays as it’s packed with crafts and activities to keep them busy during the school holidays. My children love to be creative so hopefully I have filled it with things they will love.

Putting together an Easter crate for kids

We all love chocolate Easter eggs but I don’t want them to receive *too* much chocolate. They love Playmobil Easter Eggs so I’m tempted to get them one each as an alternative alongside a chocolate egg. The Playmobil eggs contain a buildable toy inside a re-useable plastic egg which makes a nice gift.

I use a small wooden crate to hold everything, it also helps keep everything tidy as the house does tend to get quite messy when we have guests. So far I’ve filled it with:
