Family Life Monday Happy List

Monday mindfulness – 5 Happy Things

Happy Monday everyone! I’m looking forward to the end of January and a new month. January has flown by but I admit to being excited by warmer weather, longer days and February. We’re decorating my daughter’s bedroom this week which I’m quite excited about. I had a major clear out today and although I’m sad to get rid of the toys she no longer plays with, I’m excited to give her a lovely bedroom.

We were lucky to go and see two great films this weekend. The first was Darkest Hour which my husband really wanted to see. The second film was Pixar’s Coco which was absolutely amazing. I enjoyed watching both of them but I do have a soft spot for children’s films!

We had a great morning at the local park today. My youngest has been asking to visit the park for weeks and I always feel so bad that weekends are full of jobs, food shopping and homework. Today we squeezed in a trip to the park followed by hot chocolates at Costa Coffee. Such a simple way to make everyone happy.

Earlier in the week I took part in a fun Twitter party for SuperZings, the latest collectible for children. I have a competition coming up just as soon as I have time to write it all up. Take a look at our YouTube unboxing video to find out more about them.

I’m really looking forward to the Spring Knitting & Stitching Show which takes place at London Olympia soon. I’ve teamed up with Twisted Thread and have 5 pairs of tickets to giveaway to The Knitting and Stitching Show! The tickets are redeemable any day except Saturday 3rd March, travel expenses are not included. You can enter here.

I have a generous discount code to share with you too. Simply use GINGERBREAD18 and get £2 off advance adult tickets and £1 off advance concessions, so tickets will be £11.50 instead of £13.50/£12.50 (there’s a £1.50 fulfilment fee per transaction).

Oh I love the sound of the Knitting and Stitching show! I’m trying to start doing some more crafts for myself at the moment rather than just with the kids so I’m on the look out for some yarn that will magically enable me to crochet properly 😉

The kids keep on asking us to go to the park and we are hoping this weekend will be a non rainy one so we can finally fulfil their wish… How perfect that you guys finished your trip to the park in Costa x
