The Knitting & Stitching Show London 2017 {goody bag giveaway}

On Sunday I enjoyed my annual day out at The Knitting & Stitching Show London. I try and go every year. Not only do I love fabric shopping but I also find Ally Pally a beautiful venue – and just down the road from where I used to live – happy memories.

This year I went with a school mum friend and it was a totally different experience but still a lot of fun. If you’ve never been before then The Knitting & Stitching Show London took place between 11th-15th October at Alexandra Palace. If you love crafting then it’s a brilliant day out with Learning Curve Workshops, The Dressmaking Studio, hundreds of exhibitors and textile galleries. We didn’t book on any workshops which I’m glad about because we spent *all* day walking around and enjoying the different stalls.

The Knitting & Stitching Show London

I find it really hard to get to any fabric shops so it feels like The Knitting & Stitching Show is one of my only opportunities to buy fabric. Fortunately I don’t have too many projects on the go at the moment but that didn’t stop me from making some purchases! I bought a gorgeous monochrome bundle from Higgs & Higgs, some fab character ribbons for my kids, felted acorns and a brilliant decorative wreath which I can’t wait to fill.

I received press tickets but you know I would have gone anyway, I’ve been for the past few years and love it. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and it’s a huge venue so although it’s busy, there are plenty of places to go to escape the crowds.

This year I was given a goody bag along with my press ticket which I thought I would offer as a giveaway (pictured below). My prize bundle includes a cotton tote bag which says “Yarn Goddess”, a blue tshirt (size large) which states “A stitch a day keeps the doctor away”, a pair of scissors in a case and a bundle of 4 x Autumn fabrics from Timeless Treasures.
