Such a wonderful idea, I love the Klee quote. How true. I always say everyone can draw. Anyway, I have three favourite dogs, and if I could I would have all three: Beagle, Daschund and a basset hound.
Sounds like an interesting book for children. My son is 2.6 and I think it should be a great activity for him.
