Celebrating the weekend {with Prosecco from Spar}

Celebrating the weekend

We have had such a lovely weekend with friends. Last week was really busy with SATs, my first week in my new job and my husband working in a different office. We planned ahead to make sure we had a lovely weekend to look forward to.

I’m not sure what it is about having children but weekends are sooooo busy. There is always something to do – for the kids. As well as weekly swimming lessons there are endless birthday parties. Now the weather is warmer there seem to be more Rainbows and Beavers activities too.

For once we had a free weekend with no birthday parties or commitments, so we decided to throw routines out of the window and really enjoy ourselves.

The weather finally seems to be getting better so today we were able to have a spontaneous barbecue with friends. The kids loved having friends round and the weather was perfect for sitting out in our garden. It only seemed right to crack open a bottle of something to share with our friends.

SPAR have recently launched two new Proseccos which are perfect for sharing with friends and family, or giving as a gift (if you can bear to share it!). The new sparkling wines are an amazing quality wine and perfect for celebrating the weekend, or any day. The SPAR Extra Dry DOC Prosecco and SPAR Valdobbiadene DOCG Prosecco , both available from SPAR, are great value at £12 and £9 respectively.

I do love a sparkling wine and it was lovely to sit out in the garden enjoying the nice weather with friends. It went perfectly with our homemade kebabs and lamb koftes and I can’t wait to try it with other dishes too! Everyone enjoyed the prosecco so I’ll definitely be looking out for it in SPAR.

Disclosure – I was sent the Prosecco for the purpose of this post.

    Looks like you had fun! Prosecco is good for BBQ’s and gatherings as it’s not too pricey.
