Leftover Easter Egg Brownies

Leftover Easter Egg Brownies

Posted on April 25, 2017 by jenny

I love Easter but chocolate is so cheap that a week later and we still have a house full of chocolate eggs. I wanted to use some up so added them to a weekend brownie bake for the perfect Easter sweet treat. Today I’m sharing my delicious Leftover Easter Egg Brownies.

Leftover Easter Egg Brownies

You will need:
ingredients to make chocolate brownie
2 large and small Cadbury Creme Eggs
Handful of chocolate mini eggs

Leftover Easter Egg Brownies

Brownies are quite quick and simple to make. I like to bake something on a Friday afternoon for everyone to enjoy over the weekend. I whipped up a delicious chocolate brownie and baked it in the oven as usual.

Whilst it was cooking I prepared the leftover Easter chocolate.

Leftover Easter Egg Brownies

I cut a couple of large and small Cadbury Creme Eggs in half, and placed a few chocolate eggs in a bag and smashed them with a rolling pin.

5 minutes before the end I took the brownie out and I pressed the chocolate into the soft top of the brownie, and sprinkled the broken eggs over the top.

I placed the brownie back in the oven for 5 minutes, before taking it out and leaving it to cool.

I cut it into generous chunks and it was all finished up over the weekend!

Do you have any other ideas for using up leftover Easter chocolate?
