Reindeer nose ornaments for kids to make

Reindeer nose ornaments for kids to make

Posted on November 8, 2016November 8, 2016 by jenny

My children have all kinds of fun ideas for Christmas crafts at the moment. I am trying to rein them back a little as we still have a few weeks to go but I love the fact they are excited for Christmas (I am too!).

We picked up some really fun fillable baubles from our local craft shop and I knew they would be perfect for making our own hanging ornaments. We used them for Reindeer nose ornaments!

Equipment to make Reindeer nose ornaments:

Fillable baubles, ours are from Hobbycraft
Chocolate malt calls
Bostik Glu Dots
Red pom poms
Googly eyes
Pipe cleaners

How to makeĀ Reindeer nose ornaments:

First fill your baubles with the chocolate malt balls. You can probably imagine how many fell on the floor and had to be eaten during this simple step šŸ™‚

Then we made our baubles into Rudolph the Red Nosed reindeer with the help of a red pom pom nose and google eyes.

We finished our ornaments off with pipe cleaners antlers and threaded some ric rac through to hang them up. Ā It’s going to be a few weeks until we start decorating. I wonder if these will last intact – somehow I don’t think they will!

What fun! I would eat all the malt balls though so I will have to use pom poms or something. Very fun and children can really complete these on their own and feel proud! Thank you so much! Nice tutorial. Shared!

I’d be happy to drop a few of these as well! We really need to pick up some of those baubles to fill, such a great idea for kids.
