Monday Happy List – Week 99

I’m really enjoying the summer holidays. I’m not sure if it’s because the children are a little bit older or that we’ve not had a moment to be bored. I struggled to make a short list for my weekly Monday Happy List post, we’re just too busy at the moment! However, if I have to choose my 5 favourite things over the last week they would be as follows:

My 6 year old was invited to an amazing Lego birthday party at the start of the week. It was well organised with 3 different Lego challenges. My son is Lego mad so this was pretty much his perfect afternoon.

We’ve been planning some changes to our house so have visited both John Lewis and Ikea this week for some inspiration. Thanks to a John Lewis voucher hiding at the bottom of my handbag I managed to go crazy and buy myself some new clothes, make up and some lovely new Orla Kiely items for the home. We had a brilliant trip to London for the press preview of The Tiger Who Came To Tea at Cadogan Hall which was wonderful. Nothing beats a live performance and I’m so happy we got to see this lovely adaptation of a favourite book. It’s on until Sunday 4th September 2016 and we would definitely recommend it.

We also went on a Donut Decorating workshop to celebrate the release of the film Nine Lives later this week. The film looks like just the kind of thing my children would love to see and they loved getting messy with the icing (and eating the results!).

On Saturday we had another long day out in London to tick off some more of the #BFGDreamJar trail (you can see a previous trips here). We decided to concentrate on those along the Thames and found 6, as well as another 2 in Covent Garden. We’re really enjoy the art trail and it’s a lovely way to explore bits of London too. I managed to squeeze in a visit to the Orla Kiely shop there and picked up another handbag for my collection. Again, check out my Instagram for pics.
