Monday Happy Things

Happy Monday everyone, hope you had a great weekend.

Yesterday I went clothes shopping with my 3 year old which is always an adventure. She has a huge appetite for trying on clothes. All we needed was a new winter coat but it ended up taking hours. She tried on every one we saw and we went back and bought the first one we tried! I see lots more shopping fun in the future!

I got the boxes of Christmas decorations out of the loft so I could sort through them and make an early start on my Christmas crafting. This year I want to make sure I enjoy December so most of my Christmas planning is done and dusted. Over the weekend I stitched up some gorgeous felt holly leaves from a set I bought last year. I’m going to make them into gift tags or perhaps use them to decorate one of the trees in the children’s bedrooms.

I met Philip Schofield! sorry to boast but I love Philip Schofield, mainly from his broom cupboard days with Gordon the Gopher! It was a real pleasure to meet him at the Waitrose Cookery School last week when I attended an event to find out more about the Waitrose #MakesChristmas campaign. I spent some of the weekend, the bits when it wasn’t raining, upcycling a wooden crate into a wooden sleigh to hold our Book Advent books. It’s not looking too bad so I’m hoping to find time to paint it this week. The weeks are running away from me as usual!

I joined a choir! I figured it was time to find hobbies away from my laptop and used to love singing when I was at school. I’ve been enjoying singing every week and I keep telling myself that driving in the dark is good practice!
