Craft stick photo frames for Father's Day

Father’s Day is soon approaching here in the UK and my 5 year old has really wanted to make something for his Dad. I recently received a really cute roll of washi tape so thought we would use this to make craft stick frames as a little Father’s Day gift.

Equipment needed to make craft stick photo frames:
washi tape
craft sticks
scissors
glue dots
photograph or drawing

How to make craft stick photo frames:

First cover each craft stick with the washi tape. Fold over any spare tape. Cut your photograph or drawing to the shape you want and add a glue dot in each corner. Place a craft stick across each length. Add more glue dots on the two craft sticks and place the other two craft sticks along the sides to complete the frame.

Add a magnet to the back to hang on the fridge or use bakers twine to hang on the wall. We think these are a super cute way to use washi tape and will make a lovely gift for Father’s Day.

#PaperHaul subscription box

The washi tape was included in the May #PaperHaul box from Crafty Creatives. I love pretty stationery and this subscription box is great value at just £10 & pp. The theme for this month was groovy and included gorgeous washi tape, colourful gift tags, disco ball stickers, postcards, notecards and more stickers, all with a retro 1960s vibe. Everything fitted in a neat little box which slotted perfectly through my letter box – so you will never need to worry about coming home to one of those annoying little red slips!

I love the idea of subscription boxes and the contents are perfect if you love receiving snail mail or sending and receiving swaps. I’ve signed up for the latest Perfect Strangers swap through Oh Comely magazine and these will be perfect for sending to my partner.

You can find out more about #PaperHaul on the Crafty Creatives website.
