Cath Kidston sewing swaps

Monday happy things

Last week was a lot of fun and I cut back on my blogging and felt really creative for a change.

I completed a little wall hanging that’s been half finished for months. Years ago I made really small EPP hexagons with no real idea of what I was going to do with them. I decided to stitch them to a piece of linen and hang them on my Quilt Gallery Wall.

My new Cath Kidston iPhone 6 Plus case which was a gift for Mother’s Day. The pattern is called Paradise Fields and I love it.

Fun with Scrabble art. It’s no secret I collect Scrabble sets and re-use the tiles to makes badges and keyrings. I made something a little bigger over the weekend which I can’t wait to share with you.

I received a lovely parcel from Secret Penpal Scavenger Hunt organised by Fab at Snail Mail Love. It was a fun swap to put together and my parcel from Alicia in Spain included a vintage postcard, handmade notebook, a bad day survival kit, and handmade envelopes. She sent an amazing selection and I love everything in it.

I’ve just had to have a peek at Snail Mail Love – what a great idea! I used to love having penpals from around the world when I was younger, but those days I thought were long gone. I love how Fab is keeping snail mail alive and organising such awesome events like that. I’m definitely going to keep my eyes peeled for the next one…. Happy Monday! x
