Monday Happiness

Ok so the title isn’t terribly catchy (and must change) but since the Summer holidays ended I’ve missed writing our weekly updates. So I decided to bring them back with a list of some of the things which have made me happy under the title of Monday Happiness.

My 4 year old has settled into Reception really well. This week is his first full week and he’s having school dinners too.

We enjoyed a trip to the cinema to see the Boxtrolls, I loved how well behaved my children were and they’ve both been drawing pictures and making their own Boxtrolls ever since.

I found three vintage paintings of flowers at a local charity shop. I bought them for the vintage frames but then realised I quite liked the paintings of the flowers too. I just need to decide where to hang them.

We spent Saturday at Cliveden which is an amazing National Trust property. We all had such a lovely time, exploring the gardens, getting lost in the maze and playing in the story garden.

I’ve been working on some more embroidered hexagons so I can complete my final seasonal stitching club project – Wild Olive’s Winter Stitching Club. Mollie Makes Christmas is my current bedtime reading 🙂 I’ve also been planning some handmade Christmas gifts and have so many WIPs my head is spinning, but in a good way, as I’m going to have to go fabric shopping soon!

Those are great pictures – I particularly like the bottom one. We joined the National Trust last week, and spent last Wednesday at Clumber Park.

I need to go check out the Boxtrolls movie too! I was actually just checking out the post for the craft, and I think my daughter will love both that and the movie!
