12+ Turkey Crafts for kids

We love the month of November as it’s my daughters birthday! She’s super excited and has been counting down the days for a while. Her birthday falls on the same day that Thanksgiving is celebrated so I thought it would be fun to pull together a round up on Thanksgiving Turkey crafts for kids. Since 1939 Thanksgiving has been celebrated as a federal holiday, celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November.

We’ve already shared a few fun Thanksgiving crafts, including our Rolo Turkey Pretzels treats and our Pilgrim Hat cookies.  These make great treats if you are having guests over to celebrate. Thanksgiving is still a few weeks away so you have plenty of time to gather supplies and get crafting with the kids.

We love these Shape Turkeys by Messy Little Monster, they are a fun way to encourage kids with their shapes and a colourful Thanksgiving craft too.

I tried paper quilling a while ago and it’s a really lovely craft. This Quilled Turkeys by She Saved is a lovely way to introduce kids to the art of quilling.

The Kids Activities Blog have shared a fun Turkey Paper Plate Craft which uses a paper plate and your children’s hand print to create a really colourful piece of art

Thanksgiving Treat Bucket Turkeys by Happiness is Homemade are really fun and as she says, they only take a few minutes and a handful of supplies

My children love exploring watercolours and I know they would adore these fun Watercolor Turkeys by Typically Simple. Coffee filter paper makes a great base to make some colourful seasonal art.

This cute twist on the handprint turkey uses handprints from not just your child, but you too. Take a look at this Family Hand Print Turkey by Crafts by Amanda

We’ve recently started using vinyl in a lot of our crafts so I was excited to see how Sugarbee Crafts used it to make this adorable Vinyl Hand Print Turkey As she says, a handprint turkey is a classic halloween craft, but she’s really mixed it up by using colourful vinyl.

I love how Oh My Creative has used cupcake cases to make this sweet Cupcake Liner Turkey Not only is it something fun for the kids to make, but it’s also a fun way to decorate the kids table for Thanksgiving Day.

We love a nature craft and these Paper Bag Turkeys by Glue Sticks and Gum Drops are a great twist on a traditional paper bag turkey puppet with leaves for feathers.

I have a stash of old CDs to craft with and I might have to use them to try this Glittered CD Turkey by Crafts by Amanda. My kids love getting messy with the glitter and they would love this.

I love seeing so much colour, especially on a grey day. Crafty Morning is certainly giving us lots of pops of colour with her Easy Paper Turkeys which are sure to keep little hands busy

My son loves crafting with paper and would enjoy these Folded Paper Turkeys by A Girl and a Glue Gun. You could add a cute little name tag and make them into place cards for your Thanksgiving table.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my round up of 12+ Turkey Crafts for kids.
