I’ve written a few posts about the Queen’s 90th birthday now. I’m a bit of a Royalist and want my children to understand why we have a Royal family and why they’re relevant today. When I started looking for inspiration on Pinterest (my go to place for this kind of thing) I was surprised how few crafts I could find, which is why I wrote a post called 10 crafts to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday which is proving really popular.
iChild got in touch to share their range of printables and activities around The Queen’s 90th birthday. iChild.co.uk is a small business specialising in child-centric educational resources for children age 0-11. They offer free downloadable resources for parents and teachers to use, all you need to do is sign up (for free) on the website.
They have a great range of activities on their site and we have been really enjoying using them. So far we have tried the Match the Crowns activity sheet.
Corgi Colour & Count
And coloured our own bunting.
The age appropriate Queen-themed educational activities cover all sorts from make your own party hats craft; bunting, paper chains, and birthday banners; make a crown craft; make your own Union Jack lanterns craft and colouring in sheets. We’ve already used the make your own Union Jack cake toppers and the template of the Queen to make some special Queen Elizabeth sun catchers.
You can find all of the special The Queen’s 90th birthday printables on the iChild website.
