February has been great month for me. Although sometimes it’s felt like I have been drowning under blog posts I’ve managed to find time for some sewing.
My Union flag quilt is coming along nicely. I took it away with us over half term and spent quite a lot of time on it. I’ve evened up the sides so the stripes are really noticeable. It’s still going to grow a lot more but I’m really pleased with it. I’m putting aside for a while as I need to spend some time thinking how I’m going to finish it off. It’s too small to go on a bed so perhaps it will become a lap quilt for Little Sis. Next month I’ll be focusing on the quilt I’m making for a UK Mini Quilt swap.
I finished my Cath Kidston inspired felt rainbow needle case.
It was my husband’s birthday so I made this sweet piece of hoop art featuring the Star Wars Death Star, from a free Wild Olive embroidery pattern.
I love crafting with Scrabble tiles so I made this fun sign for his desk too.

February 27, 2015 at 4:51 pmI love that desk sign, we have a picture on our wall with all the families names made with scrabble tiles (it was a gift though we did not make it). We are just decorating our office (next week) I might get my daughter to help make me and her mum some desk names.
