I don’t often find myself in Sainsbury’s but at the weekend we picked up some shopping where I came across Sainsbury’s Mini Gingerbread Men Biscuits in a gift box. Of course I had to try them but I really wish I hadn’t!
Bizarrely I can’t find any reference to them on Sainsbury’s own website but I promise I haven’t made them up. The biscuits come in a small cardboard box shaped like a house and contain a number of mini biscuits. They tasted dry, rock hard (despite being sealed in a bag) and not particularly gingery – I wouldn’t buy them again! I dutifully munched my way through the whole box, hoping each one I ate was just a bad one, but it wasn’t the case. Even Big Brother didn’t like them and he’s usually not too fussy about what he puts in his mouth.
Ingredients include: Wheat Flour, Palm Oil, Brown Sugar, Partially Inverted Sugar Syrup, Ginger Powder, Black Treacle, Salt, Raising Agent: Sodium Bicarbonate.
Sorry Sainsbury’s, perhaps try harder next year!

I also tried them. Not gingery enough for me…shame as they looked so promising.
Hi Jenny

So glad you like it! I thought it might be a bit heavy to hang up but I hope you can display it somewhere 🙂
