This is my last post as part of the WWBack2Best challenge with Britmums. Today I’m going to share some of the equipment I’ve been using in the kitchen.
I adore cookery books so was very pleased to add The Complete Kitchen Recipe Book and Members Favourites Recipe Book to my collection. I plan our meals weekly which can be a bit boring but means I don’t have to worry about opening the fridge at 5 and wondering what to cook! I’ve enjoyed looking through these books for inspiration and found some lovely new recipes which we’ve all enjoyed.
measuring spoons
As well as the books I received an Oil Sprayer, Measuring Spoons Set and Electronic Kitchen Scales. I have to be honest and say I don’t use the Oil Sprayer. I’ve been using a cooking oil spray for years and didn’t want to change. I have been using the measuring spoons and scales though. As you know I do a lot of baking so these have been really useful as well as measuring out ingredients for portion control.
Weight Watchers kitchen scales
These are the only kitchen scales that calculate ProPoints values. It contains a huge database of over 700 everyday items which are pre-stored so it’s easy to select foods and to add new foods. It also contains a Recipe-Builder and this unique function allows you to weigh out each ingredient from a recipe and automatically add up the ProPoints values as you go. Obviously a bit more advanced than your normal kitchen scales so they took a bit of getting used to, but I wouldn’t be without them now.
If you fancy trying out Weight Watchers for yourself, then you can access the online plan for a week for just £1 and trial the iPhone app for free here. Please make sure you read the small print though as the plan will automatically renew unless you instruct otherwise.
