Twinkle tog wearable quilt review

With Edward turning the grand old age of one I was thinking about moving him out of his sleeping bag and using a pillow and duvet. We were offered a Twinkle Tog wearable quilt to review and I was happy to try it as I didn’t quite feel ready.

When Edward was a newborn we swaddled him but from about 4 months we used grow bags to keep him warm at night. The twinkle tog is a similar concept – to keep them safe and warm but with the added freedom of being able to move their legs around.

Quite simply this is a lovely product! It looks great, fits in all the right places and Edward is happy to put it on over his sleep suit and go to bed. We were able to take it on our recent trip to Bruges (I was worried what bedding the hotel would provide) and it kept him lovely and snug.

Good points:

The Twinkle Tog is available in three patterns: circus spot, sweet sheep and zebra

Available in summer and winter tog weights

It is priced at a reasonable £29.99 but it currently available for buy one get one half price

Washes well

Elasticated around ankles

Bad points:

After a couple of days the stitching on the side seam came apart

The Twinkle Tog is made by the same company which makes the DreamGenii (one of my must-have pregnancy products). I can’t wait to see what they come up with next!

Interesting idea. Shame it came apart at the seams! Looks a little tight too? DD is nearly 21 months and still sleeps in her Grobags. Perhaps I’m paranoid, but I don’t see any reason to change while she sleeps through the night!

My son fell over the side of his cot this morning so I may well be going back to the sleeping bag for a while 🙁
